So the results are in from my first annual Reader’s Survey. As you’ll see, the information you provided in the survey will help me serve you tremendously going forward.
The gist of the results (and scroll down to see detailed percentage breakdowns) are:
I’m proud to learn that my readership demographic is almost split down the middle between men and women. My readers are generally over 30, well-educated with about 74% having either a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree and are financially stable with more than 50% having a household income of more than $50,000 a year.
My readers are generally conservative, evangelical Christians and almost 3 quarters of them serve in some sort of official leadership capacity in their church. The vast majority (80%) of them attend small to mid-sized churches of 250 members or less. More than half of my readers have attended an online seminar in the past, and about 38% percent of them paid to attend at least one of them.
What This Means For You?
The good thing to note is that you are who I hoped you’d be: Generation X’ers and beyond who realize that social media is an indispensable tool for your ministry, and a strong desire to learn the “foreign language.”
In his book Viral: How Social Networking Is Poised To Ignite Revival, Leonard Sweet speaks of two categories of people: Googler’s and Gutenberger’s. In sum, Googler’s are people who have been born and raised up along side today’s social media technology. They breathe the air of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They know and speak it’s language intuitively. Gutenberger’s are everyone else. My readers are mostly Gutenberger’s (like myself) who want to learn the language of Googler’s so that they can make a real impact in this world for the gospel,
And that is exactly who I hoped you’d be. And knowing now that you are who I hoped you were, I can confidently move ahead with my plans to launch a membership site, a training course and a podcast geared specifically for you. These products I’ll be launching in 2015 will enable me to provide for you with the tools and training you need to make a huge splash for God’s Kingdom through the ministry He’s provided for you.
